It may be best to think of intelligent systems as sociopathic entities that feign empathy and human morality. Philosophers have attempted over the centuries to define universal moral truths that consistently fail to accommodate our various interpretations of right and wrong. It is possible (and arguably likely) that AI will be both highly moral and completely independent of human values.
